If you live in Calgary and are over a certain age group, you most likely know that today the city opened a bridge, whose name seems to be a little bit of a misnomer given the amount of controversy surrounding it. If you aren’t aware, you can check out some of the issues here. Looking a bit like a finger trap, it was built by the architect Santiago Calatrava, who has, in my opinion, some very interesting pieces of work.
Of course we had to go and see it first hand after hearing about it for months. In the end, after all the controversy, Calgary has a lovely bridge with beautiful curves – it adds an interesting architechural piece to the City and has given us a conversational piece to boot 😉
We were pretty excited about it 🙂
