If your kids are anything like mine, they love to get ready and wear their costumes (almost out) well before Halloween and play dress up. All. The. Time. Their imaginations, and energy, are unlimited.
Well, I love to indulge them their imaginations and create a world for them that only exists in their minds…until together we make some magic 🙂
My middle boy LOVES Harry Potter. Is a HUGE fan, and always pretends to dress up and play the leading role. When I asked him what he wanted to do, this was his first choice. And he wanted a petronum – a stag just like he saw in Harry Potter.
This image was inspired by Joel Robinson, an extremely talented Canadian fine art photographer who gave a great tutorial to make the magic happen and the petronum come to life.
So how does it all come together?
Two background images…
Layered on top of each other to stretch the canvas.
Add in a willing subject.
A stag clip art from ClipartAvailable and a few magical waves of my wand and…
You have a miniature “Harry Potter” and his petronum.
I will be doing a few more of these as we get closer to Halloween. I’d LOVE to see the photos of your kids in their costumes too – anyone else have kids who dress up way before too?
